The University of Sydney, also known as Sydney University, or informally Sydney Uni, is a public research university located in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it is the oldest university in Australia and is one of the country's six sandstone universities. 

From high-tech lecture theatres to classical stained-glass windows, the University of Sydney have venues available for events and special occasions at the Camperdown Campus and Conservatorium. 

The heritage venues include the Great Hall and MacLaurin Hall and their scenic grounds around the Quadrangle are ideal for smaller or more casual groups. The University’s museums and art gallery can also be booked for private functions.
